Mantis Keywords Revisited

Starting with ngau (hook), we will examine, re-examine and un-examine our beliefs/understandings of the mantis keywords. The keyword hook, brings to mind many images and actions. Let's first think of it as a action, path or route. Moving ones' foot and leg toward an opponent often incorporates an inward or outward hooking motion as well as a downward or upward hooking motion. These movements are led, in the 7-Star style, (by the mind of course) by the hand, then the body so, hooking can be expressed through the head, hands, arms, torso, legs and/or feet but, the pathway isn't horizontal, diagonal or vertical.
